Families at the camp
Jollydays is a fabulous place to visit with children big and small.
There is something very special about spending time in the woods – they have a magic all of their own. We deliberately keep things simple – our “entertainment complex” consists of a wooden wendy house and a couple of rope swings to encourage natural play. The lack of play equipment is fantastic for facilitating creative play and fostering cooperation between children – den building is the most popular pursuit for older ones whilst the younger ones can spend hours building fairy houses or bug hunting.
When to come
To get the best from Jollydays we recommend families come during school holidays – during these times we allow only couples and families at the camp. Weekends outside of the school holidays are much more popular with adult groups and there may not be other families around for you to socialise with. Mid week stays outside of the school holidays are popular with families with pre-school children and couples.
However if you want to get out and explore this beautiful region then we’ve put together a definitive 60 page brochure full of ideas for families – we hope you enjoy it!
